 Credo Homeschool Classes (CHC) supports homeschooling families through a variety of electives and core subject classes, field trips, and social gatherings. CHC is a Christ-centered organization, open to homeschooling families of all faiths and traditions. We provide education for the mind, and nourishment for the soul.

About Class Day

Classes are held on Fridays at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Classes begin at 9:00a.m. Mass is available to all families at 8:30 a.m. On the first Friday of the month, Adoration is offered all day in the sanctuary, including a special family holy hour. 

Classes run for two 12-week semesters, with an extended break in between for the holidays. 

Families are welcome to pick and choose the number of classes that work best for their family. Some of our families come for one class for one child. Some of our families have multiple children taking classes all day. Each and every class is an ala carte option. 

All students take a lunch and gym break. Elementary students break for lunch from 11:50-12:20 and have gym time from 12:20-12:50. Middle and high school students have gym time from 11:50-12:20, and lunch from 12:20-12:50. 

At the end of each semester, students have the opportunity to present what they have learned in a showcase, to an audience of parents, grandparents, and siblings.

Credo Homeschool Classes provides a wide variety of field trip opportunities throughout the year including our annual skate and pool parties.

We also offer support for homeschooling moms through Mom’s Lunches, Mom’s Night Out, and weekly time with other moms on class day.

Semester 1

August 28- First day of classes; 

October 23- Fall Break- No Classes;  

November 20- Semester Showcase & last day of classes for Semester 1

Semester 2

January 15- First day of classes for Semester 2; 

February 26- Break/Possible Make-up Day; 

March 26- Spring Break & Good Friday- No Classes; 

April 16- End of Year Showcase & last day of classes

Class Policies

  • We welcome homeschool families to join us in participating at the level that is most supportive to their homeschool life. Families are welcome to join us in taking classes on Fridays. Or, families can join solely to participate in field trips and social events, excluding class-day events. Each and every family who joins in Credo Homeschool Classes activities is required to become a member. Membership is $30/year.

  • We ask our families to volunteer by cleaning, contributing to a class party, etc. It is how our group is able to do so many things. We ask that you sign up to volunteer on registration day.

    • Cancellations will be posted on the Facebook page by 7:30 a.m. on the day of any scheduled event or classes.

    • Weather Cancellations: Credo Homeschool Classes reserves the right to cancel all in-person classes at our host site. We will take local school closings into consideration when making a decision regarding cancellation. Individual teachers may cancel their classes, and will administer lessons via email or video call if they need to cancel. 

      We encourage common sense in regards to traveling to class. Any required in-class participation for high schoolers will be excused if a parent contacts the teacher to let them know the roads are unsafe.

      All cancellations will be posted on Facebook and sent via email. 

    • Illness Cancellations: If a teacher is ill and unable to find a substitute teacher for the day, the teacher will notify parents via text and email. Occasionally, for the health and safety of our whole group, Credo Homeschool Classes may cancel due to numerous families experiencing illness.

    • Since our host facility is a fully-functioning church with many ongoing activities, our activities are subject to cancellation if the church has need of the space we occupy.
