Frequently Asked Questions

  • A:  No. Some of our teachers are moms, some are retired homeschool moms, some are retired teachers. Our teachers are independent contractors and are paid by parents to teach their children.

  • A: This decision is entirely up to the homeschooling parent, but our core classes are designed to “count” as your child’s curriculum for that subject for the year. Core classes such as history, science, math, literature, etc. include at-home assignments to help students and parents check that subject off of their list for the year.

  • A: Yes. We are welcome to use the playground on the church campus. We also have a large social hall where parents and siblings are welcome. From 9-11 a.m. our social hall is a study hall, and we ask that all families remain quiet during this time. Families are welcome to bring quiet activities, schoolwork, and snacks to keep everyone entertained. The social hall is open to families as long as classes are in session.

  • A: We aim to offer a field trip every month during the school year. Many months, there are more than one field trips offered. All field trips are optional, except for an occasional required field trip for a high school class.

  • A: All families, whether participating in classes, field trips, or social events, have to pay an annual family membership fee of $30. Classes are priced individually. Each class has a $20 non-refundable enrollment fee, which enrolls your child in that class for the year. The class cost of $60, $90 or $120 is paid directly to your teacher at the beginning of each semester.
